A level switch — also known as a water level switch or level sensor — is a device used to detect and control liquid levels at a defined point. Level switches are broadly classified into two types: contact and non-contact. Among non-contact types, capacitive level switches are widely used, while float-type level switches remain the most common overall. Contact-type detection is also achievable through electrode-type, electronic, and capacitive liquid level switches, offering flexibility across a wide range of process conditions.
