Turbidity meters are water quality instruments that measure the concentration of suspended solid particles in water. Readings are expressed as numeric values in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU) or Formazin Turbidity Units (FTU), indicating how turbid, or cloudy, the water is — the higher the value, the greater the turbidity. The dry weight of suspended materials, meanwhile, is indicated separately as Total Suspended Solids (TSS).
While turbidity analysers were originally developed for monitoring and controlling drinking water quality, turbidity measurement is now increasingly required in wastewater treatment plants as part of broader efforts toward environmental sustainability. SRK's turbidity meters support the delivery of safe water and help reduce water pollution, backed by proven technology and extensive field experience.
