What Is a Pressure Transmitter?

A pressure transmitter is a device that converts a pressure signal into a standard electrical output (e.g. a 4–20mA current signal). It is widely used in industrial automation, process control, and related applications to measure the pressure of various media, including gases and liquids, and to transfer the measurement to the control system.
